eServices for Citizens is creating a new Prequalification List of vendors to provide CKAN-related open government portal services for the Government of Yukon. These services include: 1) CKAN platform hosting and associated services, 2) CKAN visual design customization and custom CKAN extension development, and 3) open government portal operations support and data migration.

You can read more about our plans to migrate to CKAN in this public blog post. The current open government portal (to be replaced) is a DKAN + Drupal 7 based website. The current portal has about 1,800 publications (across three top-level categories) and about 13,000 files in a variety of formats, totalling about 12 GB of files and a database that is about 3 GB. This is expected to grow gradually year-by-year.

The intended replacement open government portal will be a managed, cloud-hosted CKAN instance. It is intended to comply with Government of Yukon website brand requirements and the Digital Service Delivery Guide. Existing datasets, publications, and metadata are intended to be fully migrated from the current portal to the new CKAN instance. This Prequalification List will support achieving these intended outcomes.
