Government of Yukon Wildland Fire Management Branch is continuing fuel reduction treatments in the Mary Lake Shaded Fuelbreak area. This 12.0-hectare portion of the Mary Lake Shaded Fuelbreak area is located South of the Mary Lake subdivision and south of Whitehorse, Yukon. The purpose of the project is to increase community wildfire resilience through the development of a cleared fuelbreak and provide wildland fire fighters access and a safe tactical zone in the event of a wildland fire threatening the community.
