Work to be done under this Vegetation Control Contract consists of Class “B” LVC by machine and hand cutting, mowing, mulching, and chipping of vegetation of approximately 80.0 kilometres of the Klondike Highway #2 between kilometre 388.0 to km 468.0. 

The project is located within the Traditional Territories ofLittle Salmon Carmacks First Nation, Selkirk First Nation, and First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun and the Communities of Carmacks and Pelly Crossing.

This RFB is a second stage procurement following RFQ-2022-2-1366 REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS TO PROVIDE HIGHWAY RIGHT OF WAY (ROW) VEGETATION CONTROL SERVICES. Therefore, only Bidders that have pre-qualified through this RFQ process are eligible to submit a Bid on this RFB.

1. Respondents are not bound to participate in any Subsequent Procurement Process, and may, upon written notice to the Owner, decline to respond or provide submissions in any such process. If a Respondent decides to respond and participate in any Subsequent Procurement Process, then the Respondent will be subject to the terms of any Subsequent Procurement Process issued by the Owner, and such terms shall govern over and supersede entirely the terms of the QSL and RFQ process.
2. In order to submit a Bid on this RFB, Bidders must be on the Pre-Qualification List established through the RFQ process in RFQ-2022-2-1366 REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS TO PROVIDE HIGHWAY RIGHT OF WAY (ROW) VEGETATION CONTROL SERVICES or any related RFQ released under Terms of the Qualified Source List section 7. For greater certainty, this includes Bidders added to the Pre-Qualification List through RFQ-2022-4-1567.
3. Any Potential Bidder who is not pre-qualified at the Closing Time of this RFB, will not be considered for this procurement.
4. Any interested parties who are interested in future projects with similar scopes of work, should review the onboarding requirements listed in the RFQ document, in part F, section 7.2:
   1. The Owner intends to provide opportunities for additional contractors to be added to the QSL periodically. Without limiting the rights listed above in 7.1, the Owner plans to re-release this RFQ at least once each year. The QSL will also be re-released on an as needed basis depending on public requests to be added to the Qualified Sources List. This will include opportunities for each of the 5 separate QSLs, and previous responses will not affect this process. Businesses wishing to be added to the Qualified Source List are encouraged to contact the Program Manager listed in section 9.1, Michael Kearney at 867 333-9431 or Michael.kearney@yukon.ca in order to formally request the opportunity to respond to a new RFQ.
